Dummy Card & Bank Test Data
Every checkout on this site — Vegetable Ordering, Laptop Ordering, Insurance, Hotel, Flight, and the rest — needs a card number to move past the payment step. These are the same widely-used, industry-standard dummy numbers real payment sandboxes ship with: they pass basic format/Luhn validation and trigger each scenario's card-type detection (Visa starts 4, Mastercard 5, Amex 3), but they are not real accounts and can't move real money anywhere. The bank rows below are entirely fictional — no real institution, no real routing number — for the few scenarios (Bank Loan, Mobile Plan) that ask for account/routing info instead of a card.
Test credit cards
| Type | Number | Expiry | CVV | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | 4111 1111 1111 1111 | 12/29 | 123 | |
| Mastercard | 5555 5555 5555 4444 | 12/29 | 123 | |
| American Express | 3782 822463 10005 | 12/29 | 1234 |
Amex carries a 4-digit CVV on the front of the card; Visa and Mastercard use a 3-digit CVV on the back. Any future expiry date works across every scenario on this site.
Test bank accounts
| Bank | Routing Number | Account Number | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meridian Trust Bank | 123456789 | 0001234567 | |
| Harbor Point Bank | 234567890 | 0009876543 | |
| Cascade Valley Bank | 345678901 | 0005551234 |
These three banks and routing numbers are fictional. "Copy Account" copies the account number; use the routing number from the same row alongside it in the Bank Loan or Mobile Plan scenarios.
